Who | Bazil Zerinsky
Where | Athens, Greece, Europe
Current Bar | Currently only bartending special events as I focus on studying Greek wine and working on my art.
Past Bar(s) | The Catahoula, El Libre, Bar Tonique, The Sazerac Bar, The Bookhouse Pub (Atlanta, GA), The Albuquerque Press Club (Albuquerque, NM), The DNA Lounge (San Francisco, CA)
Favourite Spirit | Currently really into Grape distillates (Pisco, Tsipouro, Raki, Grappa), but my first love is agave
Favourite Juice | Whatever is fresh and in season
Favourite Classic Cocktail | Ooh…that’s tough. Can we have a three way tie between a Sazerac, a Martinez, and a Paloma?
Favourite Part of the Job | Creating ridiculous garnishes that put a smile on people’s faces.
Favourite After Work Drink | Beefeater on the rocks or a glass of Xinomavro
Favourite at Home Drink | Herbsaint or Ouzo on the rocks and all the wine
Favourite bar in the world | It’s a tie between Mylos in Neo Iraklio, Greece and El Farolito in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico
Best known for | Being the first bartender to successfully make a Ramos gin fizz on an airplane.
Best story from behind the wood | So many! Most involve celebrities that I didn’t recognize…I once told Mark Whalberg he couldn’t have any beer because he came in after the bar was closed, he threw a fit and asked to speak to a manager. Same rules apply to everyone, I don’t care who you are.

Any claims to fame? CAP alum 2015, Runamok 2014, WSET level 3 award in wines recipient, B.A.R certified bar ready, and I was once super blurry in the background of an Anthony Bourdain episode.
