Best known for | Old School Hospitality, according to my co-workers. Everyone sitting at my bar is a new friend, as cheesy as that sounds.
Favourite “at work” memory | Any time I can send someone something off menu like a classic or an original and they’re wow’ed by it. Seeing someone turn in to a “cocktail person”.
What do you collect? I’m one N away from getting all the stoppers for the Blanton’s display set as a birthday gift for my manager.
Favourite thing about your city? As a citizen, I’ve always loved how diverse and proud we are to be Canadian or from Toronto. As far as bartending goes, it never ceases to amaze me how creative, new, experimental and cool the bars in this city have always been with their cocktailing despite the fact that the LCBO doesn’t want us to have nice things.
What was the last photo that you took? In fact it was a photo of an orange peel that had been turned in to a beautiful garnish with some interesting folding and cutting, so I took a photo of all the slits to try and recreate it later.
Where was last place you traveled? NYC for some good theatre and great cocktails.
Any claims to fame? …I can juggle…?
Lager or IPA? Lager. Not about those hops.
Sparkling or Flat? Flat. A very dark part of me still thinks carbonated water (also see Soda and Tonic) of any kind is for sociopaths.
Miami or Mexico City? Speaking of sociopaths… Mexico City
Olive or Twist? Olive. Free snack.
