Favourite Spirit | Vodka. It’s a basic neutral spirit that I can do most anything with, very versatile. Gin is a close second depending on the botanicals.
Favourite Juice | Meyer Lemon, it’s such a bright palate and still so soft as a citrus.
Favourite Classic Cocktail | I order an Old Fashioned everywhere I go. It tells me pretty much what to order after that and it’s usually a great start.
Favourite Part of the Job | The variety of people, there’s so much everything out there to see and being a bartender you get the whole spectrum.
Favourite After Work Drink | A signature cocktail from another bar. Preferably one where the staff creates the recipe.
Favourite at Home Drink | Bubbles are great anytime and anywhere.
Favourite bar in the world | Whichever one I’m at at the time. Cafe la Trova is the best in Miami.
Best known for | “Hey, you want to try something cool?”
What do you collect? Hobbies mostly, bottles & plants. I love a library.
Favourite thing about your city? I’m in Miami right now, but I’m from Atlanta. The diversity, talent and food scene are pretty amazing in both.

Where is one place that you have never been but would like to travel to? Everywhere, I haven’t really been anywhere.
Any claims to fame? I was a panelist at the Chilled 100 magazine ELEVATE 2022 conference and went back the next year to get my own seminar in 2023. I’ve won some competitions, been published a couple of times, and I’m the current VP of the United states bartenders guild. I also own an augmented reality company called Coded Connections that integrates AR with the hospitality industry. Pretty much just a creative bartender.
