Best story from behind the wood | I recently had a trio of legit cowboys come in and sit at my bar (they had just finished up at the local rodeo). They asked for a whiskey drink, and I suggested a classic whiskey sour. Upon placing the cocktails in front of the guys (we use egg whites and serve them up in coupes) their eyes got very large and they looked confused. They were obviously expecting something a bit more…rugged? To their credit, they took a sip, and that was that. They spent the rest of the night drinking classic whiskey sours, buying them for their neighbors, and even had me write down the process so they could make them back on the ranch!
