Favourite bar in the world | There are many bars that I look to for inspiration, but when it comes down to grabbing a post-shift pint I’ve gotta give it to our local dive bar, Christian’s Pub.
Best known for | No. 4’s Old Fashioned and Clear Ice programs.
Favourite “at work” memory | Full lounge on a Friday night and I’m the only bartender working. A wealthy man comes in and orders a bottle of Grey Goose and a round for the entire bar and proceeds to offer me $500 cash to dance on the glass bar. (I respectfully declined his offer to destroy the bar top)
What do you collect? Artisanal spirits and ones not locally available. Oh, and empty wine bottles.
Favourite thing about your city? Cocktail culture is a new frontier where I live, so it’s exciting to be at the forefront of the incoming wave and getting to shape it with amazing individuals that consider each other both friends and mentors.
What was the last photo that you took? Collection of bar books.
Where was last place you traveled? Toronto
Any claims to fame? Finalist in the Knob Creek Kentucky Challenge 2019. Designing and implementing the largest cocktail program to hit the island, boasting ~70 cocktails with a fairly even split of signatures and classics. Put the Luxus Boutique on Canada’s Best Bars 2019, the only bar in the province to make the list.
