Favourite “at work” memory | Probably the first time I was ever truly shit slammed behind bar. At Liberty Public House on the busiest day of the Irish Festival which takes place on the five blocks around the bar. We got crushed, luckily my co-worker (the charming and RVA famous Sean Cannon) came in early and I stayed 4 hours late just cranking out drinks for our bar and for a machine gun service well printer. It very much was a validating ‘you’ve arrived’ moment because amongst all the craziness I was having a great time and realized that I really love what I do.
What do you collect? I collect sheet music. I’ll buy it on Amazon or for Broadway shows that heavily redact their compositions I pirate it off of scribd.com.
Favourite thing about your city? Working in the industry in RVA makes the city feel even smaller and friendlier than it already is. Partially due to the incestuous nature of our bars and restaurants you can walk in to just about any bar and see someone there that you know or have worked with.
What was the last photo that you took? Probably of my cat because he is the cutest li’l asshole that I’ve ever met.
Where was last place you traveled? Los Angeles but more specifically spent a week in Venice Beach. If you’re there go to Gjelina.
Any claims to fame? My mom got hit on by Bill Clinton so…. Kinda a big deal.
Lager or IPA? Either if I get my hand on a tequila beforehand.
