Cocktail: Cereal Killer Colada | Bartender: Robert Weeks

Everyone’s favourite things, Chartreuse, Pina Coladas, Fruit Loops, and umbrellas. Post the first COVID lockdown, we were trying to just make fun delicious drinks for everyone to enjoy and we had a lot of yellow Chartreuse in our cellar.

2oz/60ml Yellow Chartreuse
2oz/60ml Pineapple Juice
1.5oz/45ml Froot Loop Coconut Milk*
0.25oz/7.5ml Lime Juice
1oz/30ml Honey Syrup (2:1 Honey:Water)

Combine all ingredients in a mixing tin, add crushed ice, then rotate the sealed shaker several times to mix ingredients. Then pour whole contents of the shaker into a pilsner glass, crown the top with some extra crushed ice, garnish with love, fruit loops, cherry and an umbrella.

*Fruit Loop Coconut Milk: combine 100g of Froot Loops (Honey Nut Cheerios also work well), with 1 tin of Coconut Milk (397g) in an open container. Then leave to infuse for 3 hours. After 3 hours, strain off the cereal, bottle and seal the coconut milk. Shelf stable in a fridge for 5-7days.

Another Brit avoiding Brexit, like many people fell into the industry after University, wanting to save some money to enable me to travel. 7 years later have ended up in Montreal. Big fan of simple drinks, and Guinness.

Currently the GM of the Coldroom in Montreal, sadly I'm not Quebecois and my French is terrible. During this second lockdown period, have had to retrain in online marketing and ecommerce, as we can't sell any booze or bottled cocktails here. So we are pressing on with our merchandise which you should all check out on our IG (@thecoldroommtl.com).
