Cocktail: Childhood Crush | Bartender: Ishrat Kaur

My Cocktail is made using local Indian Summer berries that we used to pluck directly from the tree and eat them with black salt during our vacations. My mother used to make a salted Sherbet using Phalsa berries and served it to us with lots of crushed ice to beat the heat. I have recreated this drink with Absolut Vodka, Bianco Vermouth, Salted Berry Sherbet topped up with Soda.

Childhood Crush | Bartender Atlas

45ml Absolut Vodka
15ml Bianco Vermouth
45ml Salted Phalsa Berry Sherbet*
60-90ml soda water

Pour Absolut, vermouth and sherbet into a glass and stir to combine. Fill the glass with ice and top with soda. Garnish with lime leaf.

*Salted Phalsa Berry Sherbet
Take 500gms of any sour seasonal berries, add 100gms of sugar, 1 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon black salt and let it macerate for an hour. After an hour, blend this mix and strain. Add 300ml water and fine strain using a coffee filter. Keep this refrigerated.
