This cocktail was created for the Semi-Finals of the Takes Two to Altos team cocktail competition. The theme for this leg of the competition was “show us your city”.
We wanted to do a cocktail that represented all the smells and colours that come out this time of year in Victoria. We worked with a local forager starting just a week out from the competition so that what we used was in season literally the week of the competition.
2 oz (60mL) Altos Blanco
3/4 oz (22.5mL) Flowering Currant Liqueur
3/4 oz (22.5mL) lemon juice
Topped with a Salmonberry foam
Add first three ingredient and shake with ice. Double strain into hand blown cup. Top with Salmonberry foam and dust with maple blossom powder.
