Cocktail: Five In The Afternoon | Bartender: Jonathan Stanyard

I created this cocktail for the 5 year anniversary of Bartender Atlas! Big congrats to these amazing humans who continue to navigate these crazy times. The focus on the cocktail was creating something that everyone could dig and would want to drink two of. When making cocktails for the masses, I like to keep it in the long/tall category, making it light and playful. A citrus-forward gin is shaken with raspberry and aromatic wine. Finished with bitter bubbles, this cocktail is fruity, bright, and lively. I think it is the perfect cocktail to celebrate the amazing five years for Josh and Jess and great any time, or perhaps at Five in the Afternoon. Cheers!

Cocktail: Five In The Afternoon | Bartender Atlas

1.5oz Lillet Blanc
1oz Malfy Rosa Gin
0.75oz Raspberry Gum Syrup
0.75oz Lemon Juice
1.5 oz Tonic Water

Shake all the ingredients except the tonic water in an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Add the tonic water to a chilled stemmed cocktail glass. Carefully strain the cocktail from the shaker into the tonic-filled glass. Express lemon as you make your twist, and affix to the glass with a fresh mint top.
