Inspired by the Old Pal cocktail and based on the affinity between grapefruit and warming spices. A bitter sipper for the colder months.
1.5 oz Lot 40 Rye
0.5oz Luxardo Bitter Bianco
0.25oz Vecchio Amaro del Capo
0.75oz Berto dLa Tradission White Vermouth
3 drops 10% Saline Solution
1 grapefruit peel
Add all ingredients into a mixing vessel, express the grapefruit peel into the mix then drop in. Stir until sufficiently chilled and diluted. Strain into a chilled rocks glass with a large ice cube. Garnish with a grapefruit peel expressed over top and dropped in.
