Montreal Cocktail

Bartender Atlas is all about community and we love supporting people in the industry doing cool things! The group of bartenders behind the Montreal Cocktail are such people! Montreal is a fantastic city full of life and culture that anyone can get into. There’s the Jazz Festival and Just for Laughs. There’s amazing restaurants and bars. There’s the European feel but in North America. There are many cocktails that pay homage to their home cities including the Moscow Mule, Singapore Sling, The Manhattan and The Toronto. Now it is Montreal’s time to shine! Fifteen bartenders in that city, including our own Kate Boushel and Kevin Demers, got together and collaborated on the creation of the Montreal Cocktail. For months they played with ingredients and had many heated discussions until they got it just right. The result is a vibrant orange cocktail that tastes fresh and bright. The release of it also coincides with Montreal’s 375th anniversary which is pretty, err, historic. The goal for this group is to make the Montreal Cocktail a world renowned modern classic cocktail. #montrealcocktail

The Montreal Cocktail will be showcased in New Orleans next week as part of Tales of the Cocktail. Check it out at the Tasting Room in the lobby of The Hotel Monteleone on Thursday, July 20th from 10:30am until 12:30pm. And if you can”t make it that day, may we suggest making your own at home!
