Cocktail: A Shared Moment | Bartender: Josh Lindley

I was really excited to use the Havana Club Cuban Smoky. At first I thought it might be best as a stirred sipper, but in the context of the 24 Hour Bar, I decided to play with the grassy, honey aromas in the rum and back them up with some spice and further toasty grain flavours. And as this will be featured during what we hope is an event with people all over the world, I feel like we can Share a Moment with each other.

Cocktail: A Shared Moment | Bartender Atlas

2oz/60mL Havana Club Cuban Smoky
0.25oz/7.5mL Honey-Ginger Syrup (AKA: Alba-Halliwell Syrup)*
2-3oz/60-90mL Stout Beer (I am using a local thing with coffee in it)

Combine Rum and Alba-Halliwell syrup in a single Old Fashioned glass and stir to integrate. Fill glass with ice cubes and top with beer.

*Alba-Halliwell Syrup
1oz Fresh Ginger Juice
4oz Honey (locally sourced if possible.

Warm the honey and stir in the ginger juice. Once integrated, remove from heat, let cool and keep it in one of the bottles you have leftover from a cocktail kit that you ordered.
