Cocktail: The Yellowjack | Bartender: Jacob Mentel

I wanted to create a play on one of my favourite cocktails “Don’t Give Up the Ship”. Being in love with old school sailor ghost stories I played around with different ingredients to see how I might create a great visual piece in a minimalist’s way. I was able to find that by adding Fernet products to blue curaçao you create a gorgeous emerald green color from there I built around it to bring an amazing herbal/botanical refreshing palette to a direct cocktail.

Cocktail: The Yellowjack | Bartender Atlas

2 drops Orange Blossom Water
0.25 oz Blanc Vermouth
0.5 oz Punt E Mes
0.25 oz Fernet Branca
0.5 oz Blue Curaçao
1 oz Fords Gin

Add all ingredients to mixing glass with ice and stir until chilled. Strain into rocks glass over king cube. Garnish with expressed lemon zest.
