I basically wanted to come up with a pink whiskey sour that was floral and fun for our Spring menu at Pray Tell. We also had a bunch of Bergamot Liqueur lying around so I wanted to somehow add that in to the mix. Strawberry basil instantly speaks summer to me and gave me that light pink colour to the drink. It’s a beautifully balanced cocktail that you can sip on all day or all night!
1.5 oz Wild Turkey Bourbon
0.5 oz Briottet Bergamot Liqueur
0.5 oz Strawberry Basil Syrup
1 oz Lemon Juice
2-3 Dashes Lavender Bitters
0.5 oz Egg White
Combine all ingredients in a shaker, double strain into a rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with a fresh strawberry.
