Favourite Part of the Job | Taking care of people. Acts of service is my love language, and I genuinely love connecting with my guests and team mates in a meaningful way. Even just getting to be a fly on the wall as I watch some of the best parts of life unfold in front of me (friends catching up after a long time, families joking around, couples having their fifth or five thousandth date together, etc) feels like such a privilege that I can be part of making that happen.

Best story from behind the wood | One night, I took a huge take out order right before we’re about to close. This guy is laughing, joking around on the phone; I was convinced it was a prank caller. When I asked him for a name for the order, he goes “Danny! Yeah, Danny. You spell it like Danny DeVito!” At this point I’m convinced no one will show for the order, but I took it down and sent it to kitchen anyway. Well, my jaw fell straight through the floor as Frank himself walks in ten minutes later. Lesson learned– always take that last phone order. Ya never know.
What do you collect? Good questions. I am always keen to learn more about people and ideas!
Favourite thing about your city? The hustle! Toronto is full of busy, energetic, creative people.
What was the last photo that you took? A cute pic of my house plants, thriving in the sunshine!
Where was your last vacation? New Orleans! What a whirlwind. I traveled there just to explore on my own a few weeks before Mardi Gras and I’d go back in a heartbeat. So many cool bars to check out, so much AMAZING food, so much to see and do and explore, and friendly people who know how to host are everywhere.
