Best known for | I try my best to not inflate my ego, it’s a slippery slope to a power trip for me. I’ll just say I am best known for nothing.
Favourite “at work” memory | I love the people I work with so every time I get to spend time with them is a good memory. I love our Lugo events.
What’s your favourite movie? I would’ve said Iron Giant once upon a time but these days I watch a lot of horror so The Conjuring is my pick!
Favourite thing about your city? I love doing my promenades by the Meewasin trail and staring at the Saskatchewan River. It’s a great spot for birdwatching.
What was the last photo that you took? A double rainbow from my balcony
Where is one place that you have never been but would like to travel to? Iceland 100%
Any claims to fame? Doing “tiki” pop ups where I get to incorporate southeast Asian influences using the blueprint from the tropical cocktail world. I get to design the menus too and I try to incorporate my Burmese background into the posters! I use the same methodology as I do in academia in terms of research for these projects., which I find really fun!
Aperitivo or Digestivo? Digestivo, gotta make sure my BM is regular
Soda or Tonic? Tonic! It has quinine which hopefully will combat malaria that is so prevalent here in Canada.
Trader Vic or Donn Beach? Don’t make me do this… I know I said I love Mai Tai’s but I have to stick with the originator Donn Beach. I need to make a zombie now.
Egg Whites or Vegan Foamer? Vegan foamer, my reasoning is a utilitarianist one. With egg white you exclude the vegan population. With vegan foamers everyone can be included!
