Favourite “at work” memory | When I was a wide-eyed barback, so green I had grass stains on my knees, a senior member of our bar team gave me their personal jigger and bar-spoon. The first tools I had ever owned. That moment meant so much to me. It felt like a right of passage of sorts, saying, “hey, your first steps are leading somewhere and we’re here to help.”
What do you collect? I love bar taps. I don’t really know what to do with them. But I love them.
Favourite thing about your city? Those first few proper days of spring. When the city comes out of winter hibernation. Toronto’s parks and patios are some of my favourite in the world.
What was the last photo that you took? Late-night drinks, small-town waterfront, on a midnight stroll.
Where was last place you traveled? Los Angeles, California. Art, surf, ski, bar. Solid holiday.
Lager or IPA? Can’t go wrong with a crisp, clean, Lager.
Sparkling or Flat? Sparkling
Miami or Mexico City? I haven’t been to either, but from what I’ve heard about Mexico City, its high on my list of places to see!
Olive or Twist? Olive. The dirtier the better.
