Bartender Atlas is heading to Halifax, Canada! The Bartender Atlas Halifax Tour runs from April 29th to May 1st, 2019. Below are our official events. We hope to see your face at one or all of them! All of the events are free and are open to any bartenders, industry-folk or regular cocktail lovers. We have a lot of fun planned for these three days and are releasing the information about each event as soon as we are able.
With every Tour that we do, we bring along a guest bartender from another city to participate in all of the events. Bringing people together is the core of what we do with Bartender Atlas and we believe that there is so much that we can learn from one another! We are so happy to announce that thanks to Beam Suntory Canada, bartender Sarah Gage of Las Vegas will be joining us on the Halifax Tour!
And get your PASSPORTS ready! Your Bartender Atlas Passport that is! For the Halifax Tour, every participant will get a passport of their own. For every event that you attend on the Tour, you will get a stamp in your passport. At midnight on Wednesday, May 1st, we will be drawing two prizes for all of those that participated! The Grand Prize will be drawn from those who participated in ALL of the events on the Halifax Tour and the Second prize will be drawn from those that participated in any number of events on the Tour! Grand prize is an Urban Bar Copper six piece bar tool set. Second prize is an Urban Bar Gun Metal five piece bar tool set that is etched with Hawaiian themed patterns. Thank you to The Crafty Bartender for these prizes!
To participate in the passport contest: get a passport from one of us (Jess or Josh) or from the participating venue at the time of the Halifax Tour. At each event, we will be there or a member from the venue to stamp your passport. At the final event that you participate in, please hand in your passport to us. At midnight on Wednesday, May 1st at The Local, we will be drawing the prizes!
MONDAY, APRIL 29th
8pm to 11pm: Black Box Cocktail Competition with Elijah Craig Bourbon at Lot Six (1685 Argyle St)
Come out to see six bartenders compete for the top prize! Black Box Cocktail Competitions are a favourite for us as they really test the bartenders’ skills and thinking on the fly. You never know what creations will come from them! The following bartenders will be competing: Ali Knip, Giancarlo Bonanno, Lindsay Jones, Matt Dash, Morgan LeCreux and Sarah Gage.
TUESDAY, APRIL 30TH
11am to 1pm: Bacardi Basketball (University of Kings College Gymnasium: Castine Way, B3H 2A1 – right off of Coburg Road)
Get moving! We aren’t coming all the way to Halifax to only see the inside of bars (mostly). We want to get to know you outside of bars and in daylight so come play basketball with us. Never played basketball before? No problem! Spend every weekend dunking on your friends? Great, you can teach the rest up how to get above the rim. The point is come out and move, have some fun and make friends over shots…3 point shots. (More dad jokes guaranteed) There will be snacks provided.

Join us for an educational seminar and tasting at Compass Distillers!
